It all began back in 1946 with a simple, but brilliant idea - Christian B?kert, the founder and, for decades, the driving force behind our company, saw it as his vocation to develop and produce innovative products to meet the basic needs of the time. In doing so, he not only captured the spirit of the times but also the hearts and minds of the people. With visionary foresight, creative inventiveness and enormous energy, Christian B?kert become one of the entrepreneurial personalities who laid the foundations of the new economic order in post-war Germany. In the beginning, B?kert was producing inventions such as incubators, foot warming plates and oven controls. But developments at B?kert changed as quickly as the times. Advances in industrial automation in the 1950s and 1960s demanded a whole range of new solutions. One of the pioneering solutions of the time came from B?kert, and revolutionised valve technology - the plastic-cased magnetic coil. Our motto is to use technology not just as a means to an end but as a challenge. Even if we are sometimes faced with apparently insoluble problems. Because at B?kert we start where others leave off. Then there is our passion for improving things even if they work well, making products more intelligent and efficient, but at the same time simpler and more customer-friendly. At the same time we are consistently optimising our production processes and expanding our international market presence. As a result we have been able to develop our reputation as a system provider backed by an efficient global international organisation. Unfortunately Christian B?kert was not able to see all his goals and visions come to fruition as he died in an air crash in 1971. But his pioneering spirit lives on in the B?kert family business and in the highly motivated workforce that contributes its skills, expertise and good ideas every single day
